Happy Halloween

Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!! Sam and I got a total of 4 trick or treaters... So now I have lots of left over candy... Great just what I need... Not!!

On Saturday we had a get together at a friends house and dresses up. We were rock stars!! I didn't get many pictures but a friend did so hopefully we will get those soon. Here are a couple pictures of us. Kinda blurry pics sorry..

My father in law

It’s crazy how much we all take life for granite. I don’t go a day without telling my husband I love him. I don’t tell my family every day that I love them and I should... We should say I love you every second we can! You really never know what will happen in 30 mins, the next day, 6 months, or even a year from now.

Let’s Rewind 9 months ago (feb)

February 20 the day Sam proposed to me. Everything was perfect!

Fast forward a week later

Sam’s mom had called Sam at work and said he needed to stop by the house so she can tell him some news regarding his dad (he had gone to the doctor that week or a week before can’t remember) I know Sam was really nervous to walk into the house not knowing what to expect. My stomach was turning... Sam had told me to just stay in the car that he wouldn’t be long.

I see Sam's sister Kasey and her two kids Kaden and Brookelyn walk out of the house. I can see on Kasey’s face that she had been crying and my stomach got worse. Before she came to the car Sam came out side with tears flowing from his eyes, opened the car door and asked me to come inside that his parents wanted to talk to me. My hands started to sweat! (this is taking me a long time to type since im trying to hold back the tears) We walk down stairs and I can see that his parents had been crying too. Sam’s dad hadn’t seen my engagement ring yet so we showed him and his dad gave me a big long hug and said to me “take good care of my boy” I replied back and said “I promise” (I started to cry). Sam shows me a gun and said his dad gave it to us to give to our first son. My heart was pounding so fast and my stomach was just turning!

Sam’s dad got diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.

The next few weeks were pretty tough. It was still sinking in… seeing the pain it brought my husband and his family killed me. When I see people cry it makes me cry I don’t like it when people are hurting. I thought what if this happened to my daddy which made me cry even more. Then it hit me… our children will never get to know their Grandpa Taylor.

I grew up without a grandpa. When I was younger I always wished I had a grandpa I thought about it all the time. My dad didn’t have any contact with his dad who lived in another state and passed away when I was about 12 (something around that age) then my mom’s dad wanted nothing to do with his grandkids (not sure if that’s the case but that’s pretty much how I took it) im ok with it now I have the most amazing Grandma anyone could ever ask for. I’d choose her over any grandpa any day! She’s a 2 in 1 package deal J anyways so thinking about my future children never getting to hang out with their grandpa really gets to me. Yes they will have a grandpa, my dad but seeing how my father in law is with his grandkids is just the cutest thing ever. The oldest grandkid is Kaden and he just adores his grandpa and wants to be like him! It’s so cute that it hurts because we know his heart is going to be crushed real soon.

How can you plan for this…. I’m dreading the day it hurts to think about it and hard to believe it’s real. But it is. When they first found out the size of the tumor was size of a walnut now its size of a grapefruit. Huge difference. I hurt for my mother in law who is going to lose her husband. I hope I can do my best to comfort my husband when the time comes and be there for everyone else. So now go back and look at our family pictures. Hopefully you will look at them differently.. These will be the last family pictures this family gets with their dad & grandpa. I know I have said before that im so thankful to be a part of this family but really I really am. I am so thankful that my first marriage did not work out (is that horrible to say lol) and that my sister in law Michelle set Sam and I up. It’s crazy how things work! As much as I love this family I love my other family just as much! My mom and dad are amazing we all have our ups and downs but I love them all no matter what! Best sisters (Eliza & Michelle) best Brothers (Ben, Josh, & Steve) and of course the best nieces (Ariel, Ella, & Gracie)! Now that you guys have a heads up with what is going on with our family please keep everyone in your prayers everyone really needs it!

I haven't really posted anything about something our family is going through right now so I think I'll do a post about it but it might be a tear jerker and some of these pictures will make you look at things differently. Iv only been a part of this family not too long but I love each of them to death and would do anything for them. This family is so strong and together can get through anything.

Im going to try hard to not focus to much on the number and just notice how I feel and inches lost. And if I don't ever get down to 133 that's fine but something in the 130's would be awesome!

Getting my butt in gear!

Well I fell off the wagon with my healthy eating and working out so I'm trying to get my butt back into gear I'm really upset with myself because I got down to 142 so much closer to my goal and now I'm back to where I was to begin with! 149.... Ugh. Iv done pretty ok with eating healthy but inget my urges and cave in. But yesterday and so far today iv done good! My sister in law (the one who just had the baby) started going to the gym together and I'll tell ya it's so much easier to drag my butt to the gym going with her than with Sam. The gym goes by so much quicker when you have a gossip buddy and who is a skinny bean pole (helps push me lol) but really it's nice I'm today I'm looking forward to going even though I'm sooooooo sore!! It feel great! When I'm feeling not so motivated I go check out all the women with abs on pinterest lol. Gets my motivation back up!

I'm going to start my low carb healthy eating plan again and with our gym routine hopefully I'll be on my way to skinny town in no time!!

I'm getting excited just thinking about it!!

Halloween time!!

Halloween is around the corner so I made Sammy buy me some pumpkins :) I put them on the porch and thought it looked silly since I had nothing else on there. Took some of Sam's deer horns then hit up dollar tree!!








I had some left over wood pieces so made this "beware" sign.






Still need to add some more maybe to the other side and some on the steps but so far I like it!

iPad help with picture sizing..

I know iv asked this before but that was back when I had no followers haha so I'm asking again!

Do any of you use your iPad for blog posting? I'm still trying to master all the apps on my iPad for blogging but I can't figure out how to resize my pictures. So if you notice a lot of the time my pictures take over the screen so then once I get home from work I have to log onto my laptop and resize the pictures on there.. Total pain.

So if any of you could give me some helpful tips for using my iPad for blogging that would be wonderful!!

Let's talk MAKE UP

Make-up... gotta love it! costs a fortune and makes you look good looking. Okay so not ALL makeup is expensive but if you want your face to look natural and not cakey you kind of have to spend a few extra buckaroos on a high end brand of makeup right?... well at least i do.

i had horrible acne and was a horrible zit picker! i was spending so much money on makeup to cover up my ugly zits and scars i had from picking. i tried bare minerals (which was ok) a few other ones that i cant even think of and they just didn't satisfy me especially when i was spending a butt load each month!

about 2 years ago i started ordering a few things off of elf.com i really liked their lip glosses and lip sticks i was getting from them i decided to expand my horizons and order concealer and foundation (risky huh)...man am i glad i did! i order the mineral foundation and concealer and i love it! it covers up my scars and zits when i get them and makes my face look fresh and it doesn't feel cakey. i love it! also its CHEAP!! sometimes you can get lucky and get their mineral products half off and shipping is about $6 like any other place. but most of the times its spend $25 get shipping free. i order once a month and spend $25 even if i do get the half off deal i still try to just keep it at $25 and that still gets me alot of product. The foundations are pretty small tubes but i find that one lasts me about 2 weeks and i usually order 3 foundations and 1 concealer (the concealer lasts longer since i don't have to use much).

They have alot of other great products that i love. like i mentioned above their lip glosses are awesome! and they have the perfect nude lip stick! their eye shadows are great and last the whole day! oh and i cant forget the nail polish!! i pretty much own every color they have the brushes kinda suck but not bad for $1.

Vegas baby!!!

Vegas was a blast!! We got there Wednesday night and stayed until Sunday morning! The first 2 nights we stayed at MGM resort then the last 2 we stayed at a holiday inn express off the strip. It was so hot right as you walked outside your back is already drenched in sweat...

The first night we just walked around the hotel a bit and got some dinner then Went right to bed we were pooped!!

Next morning we got up and went shopping for a bit and later that eve ing we went and saw the show KA that plays at the MGM. it was a pretty good show..

Friday Sam's friends Tyson & Matt arrived with their wives Danielle and kailey. We met them at the outlets and shopped around awhile then made our way to the mall on the strip. We mostly just walked around the rest of the night.. We are party poopers!

Saturday was Kaileys birthday so we decided to go to the wax museum that afternoon then we went back and got ready and went to the buffet at Mandalay bay which was soo good but I ate toooooo much!! The. After we went and saw the show Mystere at treasure island. Sam and I saw this show last year and loved it! It was just as good the second time as the first. Must see show.

It was so nice to get out with the hubby and spend time together and with great friends .
